The existence of a chapel in the Molejon mining project of Petaquilla Gold is proof of the religious vocation of the group at all different levels, where we can frequently find miners, operators, drivers, cooks, environmentalists as well as female coworkers who give it their best to create success and the normal development for the most important mining project in Panama.

Being a place of profound introspective and reflection, it now counts with the presence of Rodrigo Carrion, a Panamanian religious figure who has committed the first years of his youth to Panamanian good causes keeping in mind the interests of the unprotected, a trait of character that has allowed him to further deepen his commitment to the Catholic faith of which he is a permanent messenger.

Mr. Rodrigo Carrion has carried this message until now, to some of the most remotely located places in the district of Donoso and La Pintada, always collaborating with the ecclesiastic authorities. Various requests to celebrate with locals and most importantly with everyone and each and every one of the members of Petaquilla family who find in the Lord, great support, a listening ear, and a friendly helping hand who guides them through difficult moments and is part of the joyful moments.

Today, the world youthful day activities are celebrated by thousands of young men and women from all continents who meet with St. Benedict XVI, this time in Spain, with the participation, as usual, of young Panamanians in a message of love, joy, conciliation, brotherhood, loyalty and faith who will reflect the work of the extraordinary Panamanian.

All the information from these activities will be passed along by him, a man with the capacity and patience to transport emotions to the mining site, turning your miners into indirect participants of the event.

The Catholic faith, recognized by the Magna Carta of the Republic, as the most commonly practiced by Panamanians, strengthens through the presence of the little chapel located in the hills of the Molejon project, above all thanks to the constant work of this pilgrim, who does not slowdown in his initiatives and spiritual activities, carrying out good deeds and filling the void, in a distant places in a project that is no longer isolated from the matters of the faith and above all, the message of The Saviour, when he said, “Love one another”.

During actual times where different threats exist for the mining industry, by groups of different motives, this message of love and support on behalf of Rodrigo Carrion, who relives a phrase by the belated journalist, educator and composer, Jose “Pepe” Zamora, when he said “Love your enemies, this drives them crazy”, the love in the air and part of the chapel of the Molejon mining project also drives them crazy, but the tranquility, certainty and satisfaction of duty, harmony and profound Christian inspiration, to daily advance in an activity little understood by many and developed by an excellent team of professionals immersed in the interdisciplinary activities of which the life through God are a big part of their lives.
