SPANISH DELEGATION LED BY CRISTOBAL COLON VISITS PANAMA

Castilla is place to discover a new concept on tourism

August 2011

The visit of the delegation from the Castilla del Oro Foundation –Spain- to Panama was led by its president Cristobal Colon, as well as the Foundation’s president in Panama, Pascual Montanes Duato, with a delegation of businessmen of the Spanish tourism sector.

The trip to Panama included the visit to the place where the original idea of the Castilla del Oro project was conceived, Penonome, in the province of Cocle, headquarters of the Foundation; an honorary dinner was held at the Mar del Sur Restaurant of the Centro de Convenciones El Cruce, which is part of the tourist project Castilla del Oro, where the guests delighted of the excellence of the Peruvian cuisine.

The Spanish delegation also had the chance to appreciate an artistic show that included folkloric dances.  They were also infected by the rhythm of the murgas.  The visitors marveled at the typical dances and especially at the joy of the people performing the dances of their ancestors.  “Panama is synonym of joy; its folkloric dances confirm it.  There is a new type of tourism here”, commented the president of the Castilla del Oro Foundation in Panama.

The visit of the Spanish delegation was accompanied by Panamanians at all times.
