Roberto Cuevas, President of the Mining Chamber of Panama (CAMIPA); disputed the view of those who reject mining with the argument that these would contaminate the water of the rivers with chemical elements.
In his message he added, “The problem would not be caused by mining companies, but rather by everybody else.”
